There is never failure, only learning.

Kirsty talks about her experiences coming from a working class background:

"Being from a poor, single parent family. You have no safety net. The bank of Mum and Dad isn't coming to bail you out, you're on your own - financially at least (worth noting I had the most loving and supportive upbringing). You must be brave but sensible, take risks but have a plan B. Transitioning from Uni to work, and rising up the ladder isn't easy. You must take every opportunity, work hard, be kind, say yes to everything, even if you don't like it you will learn from it. Find your strengths and play to them, find your weaknesses and work on them. Surround yourself with people who aren't like you, and cherish them.

Remember everyone feels [insecure], no matter who they are or where they came from. Back yourself. You deserve that seat at the table as much as the next person, maybe more so - you worked hard for it, you overcame huge challenges. Diversity makes industries better, a mix of people drives things forward and brings in a range of perspectives. Having you there is nothing but a positive, you are not an imposter and you're not human if you don't have insecurity."
